Emmy is the shy cat of the family. She's about a month older than the boys
and was also adopted at the same time. She keeps pretty much to herself,
spending the first six years in my house sleeping under a chair. We
eventually discovered a dental problem and now that that's been taken care
of, she's become the most friendly cat (at least around me) I've ever known.
If she's up on the loft when I go into the bedroom to get dressed in the
morning, she will whack me on the head with a paw to get my attention and try
